- The subject of all parts of the public contract is the renewal of rotational fence grazing of a reasonable number of sheep or a mixed herd - sheep and cattle, goats, horses, etc., always on an area usually 1 - 2.5 ha, or according to the configuration of the terrain or terrain obstacles, or in agreement with the contracting authority, all for the purpose of restoration habitat of the subject of EVL and PP protection the thorny woodpecker (Eriogaster catax).
Grazing will start when the height of the vegetation is up to 10 cm (max. 15 cm) a adequately dry surface. The initial number of sheep on the site will be at least 50, in the case of a mixed herd, the amount is calculated as 1.5 - 3 cattle units (DJ) per ha. However, a mixed flock must always contain at least 10 sheep. The animals will be immediately relocated from the already grazed part so that they do not run to damage the grass sod. If there is a repeated increase in grass mass (i.e. the maximum height will exceed 20 cm) on already grazed parts, they will be grazed repeatedly as needed. The location of the water source will be determined by the customer.
Rotational cycles of renewal grazing are based on the course of the weather in individual seasons. As a rule, grazing begins on April 1 of each year. The spring rotation cycles will be shorter and more intense in the first half of the year due to the expected faster increase in the mass of grasslands.
