• Description:
• The subject is the repair of the decorative sculpture of the Sun at 9 Svážné Street in the Municipal Municipality of Brno - Nový Lískovec. The object consists of a vertically oriented block on which ceramic and metal decorative elements depicting animal and other playful motifs are placed. The work is created from materials: concrete, artificial stone, granite, copper, glazed ceramics. The dimensions of the block are: 250 x 125 x 30 cm. A detailed breakdown of the works is given below. The subject of the order is: 1. Stone, concrete and ceramics: - cleaning the surfaces of stone, concrete and ceramics from dust deposits; - bioremediation of surfaces (removal of biological attack); - removal of graffiti from surfaces; - gluing the head of the screw using stainless pins; - disassembly of unsuitable gluing and new fitting of the owl; - application of anti-graffiti protection on polished surfaces; - sealing cracks in terrazzo block; - color retouching of repaired areas. 2. Metal elements: - mechanical removal of oxidation products and mineral layers from metal; - repair of holes and cracks caused by water ingress; - measures against water ingress (drainage of lower parts, sealing upper openings, possible caulking); - powder passivation of the surface of metal elements and their degreasing; - treatment of metal elements with a preservative for non-ferrous metals in several thin layers; - restoration report documenting the entire repair with progress photo documentation. Chemical removal of metal oxides (acidic means) is not permitted due to the protection of surrounding building materials (concrete, plaster, ceramics, stone). Cleaning of metal elements will only be done mechanically. Works of art
