• Description:
• In the first half of 2026, the Ministry of Finance (hereinafter also "MoF" or "central contracting authority") intends to implement a centralized procurement for public administration entities for the purchase (and possibly service) of electric passenger vehicles by concluding framework agreements with one supplier for a duration of 18 months, for each vehicle category separately. The reason is the fact that the three concluded framework agreements for the supply of electric powered passenger vehicles expired in 2025, or they could be with respect other standardized categories of vehicles also competed for the dynamic development of electromobility. Currently, four categories of electrically powered passenger vehicles are standardized (see technical vehicle standard: https://mf.gov.cz/cs/ministerstvo/zakladni-informace/hospodareni-resortu/verejne-zakazky-a-spolecny-nakup/zavazne-technicke-standardy/technicky-standard-osobnich-vozidel-22894). MF is considering the creation of a new standardized category workingly called "mini EV" (small reference vehicle, smaller range). The subject of this market consultation are categories of electric powered passenger vehicles. Any modifications to the technical specifications of electric vehicle categories will be reflected in the standards that should subsequently be binding on all ministries and their departmental organizations.
