- The subject of the Contract is the execution of work consisting in the modernization of locomotives of the 742 series (hereinafter referred to as the "modernization of the Locomotive" or "Locomotives") including the fitting of the modernized locomotives with an ETCS security system, i.e. including the comprehensive delivery and installation of the mobile part of the application level ETCS security system2 (Level 2), which will comply with the basic standard 3 (Baseline 3) (hereinafter referred to as "Equipment"), all to the extent specified in the tender documentation annexes (hereinafter also referred to as "Work")
