• Description:
• The municipality of Jiřikov plans to add rest areas, navigation elements and educational game elements to the newly built pedestrian path between the parking lot and Sovinec Castle, which is an important tourist destination and an extensive monument owned by the Moravian-Silesian Region. The new hiking trail will thus increase the safety and comfort of tens of thousands of visitors to the castle from all over the Czech Republic and from abroad (over 60,000 visitors in 2024). The footpath furniture includes the following items: - 1. A wooden shelter serving as a rest area after parking the vehicle, equipped with 2 tables and 4 benches. - 2. Game elements: a) Climbing frame interconnected set of planed tree trunks b) Monkey track loosely laid logs of solid wood - 3. Relaxation elements: a) Bench at the point of view of the castle from the walking route, which also serves as a photo point b) Seating in the forest set of 3 tables and 12 seats - 4. Educational elements: a) Bee hive b) Herb garden - medicinal herbs characteristic of the Jeseniky foothills c) Model of a shingle roof - opportunity to try laying wooden shingles d) Sovoscope - parade of the most famous representatives of the owl kingdom in a tree trunk (kaleidoscope principle) e) Slate roof splitting and laying slate on an imaginary roof f) Dendrophone A sound educational element with slats made from basic domestic woods and a mallet. - 5. Orientation system: a) Directional signs to the castle atypical steel and wooden product at 8 places along the entire route b) Information board atypical steel wooden product at individual educational stops - 6. Trash cans 4 along the entire route, steel-wood material composition
