This public contract (VZ) will be implemented as part of the SLIM (Sustainable Landscape through Integrated Management) Project, which is implemented by the Czech Development Agency and co-financed from October 2023 to September 2027 European Union. Its aim is to introduce an integrated landscape management (ILM) approach and contribute to increasing the resilience of ecosystems and preserving biodiversity in Zambia using freely accessible satellite data in areas such as forestry, agriculture, water management or environmental protection, including predicting and mitigating the devastating effects of natural disasters. This order will specifically contribute to the fulfillment of SLIM project activity No. 2.2.1. entitled "Provision of adequate technological capacities, tools, data access and geospatial data storage infrastructure for the crucial data domains".
The subject the fulfillment of this VZ is a complex software solution for a total of 12 beneficiaries of the SLIM project in Zambia, while it is a combination of a commercial solution and its configuration and an open-source solution that will need to be implemented and programmed according to the requirements of one of the Zambian beneficiaries. It is also comprehensive training both in the capital city of Lusaka and in the provinces.
