- The subject of the competition is the preparation of an architectural design for the conversion of the former city spa in Chomutov, including a layout and operational design and a solution for connecting the public space. The aim of the competition is to obtain an optimal and comprehensive design solution for the conversion of the former municipal buildingspa into a modern library of the 21st century, which will provide sufficient facilities not only for the development of its classical activities, but also for cultural, social, creative and community activities, which will breathe new life not only into the building itself, but also into the surrounding park.
The proposal should respect the competition by enteringdefined content so that all current and prospective functions of the library are maximally ensured, but at the same time it must sensitively deal with the material and structural solution of the object, which has its indisputable qualities and represents the architecture of the time of its creation.
